TEMPRANILLO

Alexandra, May, and Gonzalo, three long-time friends who are all successful winemakers, started their winery in 1999 in Toledo using the old family vineyards of near-extinct grape varieties and local clones belonging to Gonzalo's family. As Más Que Vinos, they now produce some of Toledo's most exciting and affordable wines.

  • Dry farmed bush vines (average of 50 years old) on limestone & clay soils at 750-800 meters in the villages of Dosbarrios, Cabañas de Yepes and Villarrubia outside of Toledo. Typical yields of less than 2 tons/acre.

Fermentation in stainless steel tanks followed by malolactic in cement amphora (tinajas). Aging for 5-8 months in French and American oak barrels.

  • Saturated color with aromas of dark fruits, black pepper, and even a bit of licorice. On the palate, the wine has gobs of blackberry and currant flavors balanced with wild herb undertones and lively acidity.

  • INGREDIENTS:

Grapes, natural yeast, tartaric acid, potassium metabisulfite
